Shihan Peter Fawbert has had a very illustrious karate career particularly in competition. He has won over 15 various World Titles, 10 European Titles and many more at National level too in all areas of competition ranging from Kata through to full contact fighting. However, his biggest achievement has been that 15 of his own students gaining National recognition on the Great Britain Martial Arts team and leading them to podium positions in both the European Championships in 2018 and the World Championships in 2019.
Shihan Pete has also been honoured to receive many awards in various Hall of Fames around the world for his achievements within martial arts.

Sensei Sally is one of the associations finest role models. She continues to train and teach in her 70's which is outstanding. She is a fantastic coach with a warm and welcoming approach and really knows how to bring the best out of every student.
Sensei Geoff Jones

Sensei Geoff started his karate training in the style of Shotokan and made his switch after a chance encounter with Shihan Pete. Sensei Geoff has been training and teaching with SWKA for over 7 years and has become a bedrock within the SWKA family. Sensei Geoff is an inspiring coach and works hard to bring the best out of every student.
Sensei Annabel Harris
1st DAN WADORYU KARATE
1ST DAN TYGA KARATE
Sensei Annabel was the first student of SWKA to achieve her Shodan since the club formed in 2012. After years of training and assisting in classes, she graduated to take on classes whilst Shihan Pete fought cancer. Sensei Annabel is a fantastic instructor who leads by example and is a great role modal for all young people. She has achieved both European and World Titles in Karate and is still the only competitor within SWKA who has never lost a competition fight.
Sensei Sian O'Brien
Sensei Sian is the newest member of our instructor team and has been with SWKA for about 3 years after moving from a Wadoryu club at her previous location. Sensei Sian is a member of the Great Britain Martial Arts Team and has achieved both European and World titles. She is a fantastic coach with a specialisation in competition training.
